The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the environment we live in are reflections of the ways in which we care for our forests. The van Eck Forests have been using this successful model pioneered by Pacific Forest Trust showcased in the documentary to restore forests, fight climate change, and generate revenues. The team is using new methods of managing whole forest ecosystems to enable a future where forests can once again thrive as complete, diverse, life-sustaining systems. Since 1993, Pacific Forest Trust has conserved more than 270,000 acres of forestland through its daily efforts in practicing and promoting sustainable forestry nationwide. what we did
VanEck came to us with the idea of telling the story of their dedication to building forestland awareness. With their insight and passion, we used cinematic visuals, and animation to communicate a complex forest preservation model and turned it into captivating storytelling. Contrary to a typical Hollywood production with actors, makeup, and greenscreens, we adopted a raw and humanistic framework and captured the PFT team fully immersed in the forest. Through this production process, we better understood and appreciated the forest. With this film, we hope to encourage viewers to give back to the forest, as it gives so much to us.
